Progress at ProtoATL and Beyond

Over the weekend of May 16 – 19 2024, I travelled to Atlanta Georgia to take part in ProtoATL, a game design convention. The event began Thursday evening and continued through Sunday afternoon.  I brought along 3 copies of the second beta version of Geaux Parade to playtest.  Over the four days of the event, I was able to play test the game around 20 times. I also play tested many games for several different game developers.

The feedback I received from my play testers has been invaluable in the development of Geaux Parade.  I have made a few changes to simplify the game and one change that resulted in the game being much faster to play.  These changes will be incorporated into the third beta version of the game.  My plan is to print a few copies of this third beta version once I have the artwork completed on a few of the cards.

Speaking of artwork, I have narrowed down the search for an artist for the game to two.  Hopefully by the end of June I will have an artist contracted and beginning to produce the final version.
